Hi!
It’s nice to meet you all. I’m hoping you can help me with my yucca.
So, we have a 3yr old yucca, growing indoors. When we bought it, she was about 20cm high, now it’s about 1m+ . It has 2 main trunks and on one of them (the highest one) it has grown two large stems.
From what I can see on all Yucca photos those stems should not be that big. The leafs should be growing close to the big trunks. Also, the leafs are bending downward, most of them.
My questions are:
1. Should I cut those two large stems? They are about 15-20cm high.
2. If I cut the stems, will it rejuvenate on that trunk?
3. What should I about the leafs bending downwards?
Sorry for the bad English, it’s not my main language. 🤷♂️

Thanks so much for sharing the photo – I have actually added it here so others can see it.
I can confirm that your plant actually looks quite healthy, so I wouldn’t be too worried. But, as mentioned in my previous comment, your could cut it and it should rejuvenate. You could even us the stems you remove to propagate new plants.
Hope this helps 🙂

Hi there and thank you for your question.
The way you describe your yucca plant makes it sound fairly healthy, but to answer your second question, if you cut it, it should rejuvenate near the cut, possibly grow 2 or even 3 new shoots.
With regards to the leaves bending downwards, please ensure that the pot that it is growing in is very well drained. Yuccas do not like being in very wet soil – this is a possible reason.
To be more sure, it would be helpful to see photos of the plant – are you able to add some photos to help analyse any problems?
Hope this is helpful 🙂
