Can I cut daisies that get too large right back? I did it once and some died!

Good question, Graeme. Daisies don’t like to be heavily pruned, so avoid that. But, they do benefit from the occasional light prune – no more than 30% and even then I would tend towards less than this. Do this light prune soon after their main flowering has finished.
