Can anyone recommend when the best time is to prune asparagus? I know I should stop harvesting after a few weeks, but at what point should I trim it all down?

Hi Ray, After you stop harvesting your asparagus, it is very important to allow the asparagus fronds to grow. While they are doing this, they will be putting energy down in to the crown of the asparagus where it will be stored for the next season. If you prune or trim them too early, you will affect future harvests.
I don’t really prune mine at all, I just clean it up after it has died back.
