I was going to grow star jasmine on a trellis in order to cover an ugly brick wall but have now found out that a good friend is allergic to jasmine. Can anyone suggest a good alternative that I could grow instead?

What about Honey Suckle? There are lots of different types that you could consider. Have attached an image for you :)

What about bouganvillea? They come in a large range of different colours and I think there are now some varieties that don't have the spikes.
